The 7th MENA Region Adolescent Health Conference will bring together policymakers, practitioners, researchers, youth leaders, civil society organizations, and development partners to advance a shared regional agenda for adolescent health and wellbeing.

Across the Middle East and North Africa, adolescents are growing up amid conflict, displacement, economic uncertainty, climate-related pressures, rapid digital transformation, and widening inequalities. These challenges affect their mental health, education, protection, participation, and future opportunities.

Yet adolescents are not only vulnerable populations; they are a powerful generation with the creativity, resilience, leadership, and potential to shape stronger and healthier societies.

Under the theme “Generation Empowered: From Vulnerability to Strength,” the conference will place adolescent mental health and psychosocial wellbeing at the center of regional dialogue and action. It will explore how health, education, protection, social protection, and humanitarian systems can work together to provide responsive, inclusive, and sustainable support for adolescents in both stable and crisis-affected settings.

The conference will emphasize the importance of moving beyond short-term and fragmented interventions toward institutionalized adolescent-responsive systems. It will also promote meaningful adolescent participation in policy development, programme design, research, governance, and accountability.

By bringing together evidence, innovation, lived experience, and regional partnerships, the conference aims to transform adversity into opportunity and ensure that every adolescent has the support, protection, skills, and voice needed to thrive.
